How does the newer mineral powders compare with traditional liquid foundations?

I personally have found them fantastic. They are quick and easy to apply and give quite a good coverage, even over blemishes, redness etc. And I never would have thought they would. I love mine for work because it's so fast and then if you are on holidays and just want to put a little bit of make up on. And it will last you ages, there is so much in them.


I still use a liquid foudation if I am going out at night, or want to feel a bit more made up.


I was also told not to bother with the cheap brands, because they contain a lot of talc, which defeats the purpose of even using them. The mineral powders let your skin breathe the good ones contain no nasties and are not tested on animals.

MOST of the mineral foundations out there are fantastic. Make sure you read the label. Find one with a natural sunscreen and NO TALC! Talc will dry your skin and clog your pores. Bare Minerals, M.A.C. mineralize powders are great ones. Beware of the drug store brands as they are mass produced and will have excess ingredients. The mineral foundations are typically better for your skin. A normal liquid foundation has around 55 ingredients. Such as peanut oil and alcohol. Both bad for ya.Bare Minerals for example has 5 ingredients and 2 of them are inside for the sunscreen. Both give great coverage but the mineral foundations have more staying power and will look better for longer.
