What is the best way to apply liquid foundation and the best way to remove it?

When I apply my foundation it seems like I am not doing it right, I still feel like there is too much. I just want a soft look. What is the best way to remove it because I have really oily skin and want to have healthy skin. What is the best way to apply liquid foundation and the best way to remove it?
I've become a really big fan of foundation brushes - they make your foundation look like it's airbrushed on and you actually end up using less product. Chanel, Clinique, and The Body Shop make very good foundation brushes... you could also probably get a good one from Sephora for $10-15.

Personally, I don't use makeup remover. I figure if my face wash isn't removing my makeup, then it's time to find a new facial wash. I also don't use waterproof makeup around my eyes, so I don't buy eye makeup remover either. Since you have oily skin you may want to look into a Tea Tree facial cleanser or toner... that should work to remove your makeup and make your skin look very nice and fresh. What is the best way to apply liquid foundation and the best way to remove it?
I always put the foundation on the back of my hand and yous my pointer finger and rub it in a circular motion to warm the foundation up so that it goes on smoother and then with the pointer finger put it on your face in dots then use a sponge make -up applicator to even it and blend it in. When you are ready to take it off I use a make up remover pad then wash my face and then use face lotion.
I apply it with my fingers and then smooth over it with a foam makeup brush. Then I add a light layer of powder foundation. To remove it, you should just use a wash cloth and a facial cleanser that is made specially for oily skin. Another product that I'd recommend is the Neutrogena Wave. Use a wash cloth and warm water on your face, then the wave, then more warm water. It keeps your skin clean and soft. Good Luck =]
i've tried both sponges and brushes and so far i think the sponge applicators are a lot better because they allow you to control the coverage a lot better...you may want to consider getting a different shade because that might be the reason why it looks like you have too much foundation on (because its not the correct shade). or you may want to try wearing a powder foundation such as id bare minerals or the new maybelline mineral foundation (they look really natural)....

GOOD LUCK!!!
try using less, and mix the liquid foundaton with a face moisturizer, and apply with a sponge and dab all over, instead of putting it all in one place and trying to spread. start at the sides of your face then come into the center.

but as for removing it, just use make up removing sheets, a wet washcloth, or wash your face. there's no way to start fresh if you mess up the first time without some sort of washing=/
well it depends if you are just covering your whole face or if you are specifically covering something on your face. for a spot covering, just put a small amount on a clean finger and dap lightly. if you are trying to cover your whole face, there are makeup sponges that you can use for full coverage
a foundation brush

and a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer
i dot some all over face small dots not blotches

then I use a makeup sponge or wedge

I dampen my sponge lightly first and it just

glides the makeup leaving a light look nothing

heavy or cake-y

good luck
with a foundation brush and wash your face then tone and moisturize it =] xxx
