What can I replace my liquid foundation with?

I've always used liquid foundation whenever applying make-up on. I usually use Lancome or the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse (I like the Maybelline one better).

I like how the foundation looks when I first put it on my face, but as the day goes on, it starts to run and it doesn't look ';finished'; like it did when I first put it on.

Is there any other type of make-up that won't become ';runny'; but will still look the same as liquid foundation when applied? What can I replace my liquid foundation with?
DId you try priming? like eyeshadows, you want to prime your face so that the foundation has something to hold onto, and it gives your face a better finish.

A really good and affordable face primer is the Victorias Secret VS PRO FX face primer- it's about 16 dollars and can be found at any victorias secret that sells beauty products:

http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce…

You should apply the primer, then the foundation, then set it with a powder (powder foundation or a fininsihing powder will do), and it should stay all day- remember to touch up the powder every now and then if you have oily skin.

Also, you should maybe try another foundation if it isn't working out for you- I don't really LOVE the lancome foundation because of it feels really heavy, but i would recommend Laura Mercier, Smashbox, or Cargo- they're lighter, cover well and stay on for a good amount of time.

good luck! What can I replace my liquid foundation with?
if you like the foundation but not the 'after look' wouldnt a face finish or putting powder on afterwards help? my friend uses MAC finish and swears by it. Do some research online.
try priming your face. try a tinted moistureizer. try mac fix plus

10pts, What powder do you recommend to go over the top of liquid foundation?

I'm going shopping tomorrow for powder to go over the top of my liquid foundation (to make the liquid foundation set).

What do you recommend, and why?

PS: i live in Australia, so no foreign brands that aren't available here please :P10pts, What powder do you recommend to go over the top of liquid foundation?
HD Microfinish Powder.

A universal translucent finishing powder to be applied over foundation or worn alone.

What it does:

Sets the foundation and slightly mattifies skin without changing its natural contours. This 100% mineral silica powder softens the appearance of imperfections. Completely evens out the complexion for a glowing, radiant look. One universal shade for all skin tones.

What else you need to know:

It's completely translucent and goes on any skintone. Its talc-free formula does not dry the skin and is formulated with 100% silica. Dermatologically tested.

Hope that helped.

Good Luck.10pts, What powder do you recommend to go over the top of liquid foundation?
I've always used benefit powder over my liquid foundation as not only can it go straight on top of the foundation without having to let it dry but they have a variety of shades for everyone and it lasts forever!!! if you cant get it in Australia its avaliable on ebay :)
I use liquid foundation then Rimmel powder. I live in the UK so not sure if you get Rimmel in Australia!

The best powder to use is a loose powder that matches your natural skin tone, or a translucent one. Apply it with a large brush, and if you need to top up during the day you can buy the matching pressed powder in a compact.
I love Rimmel Foundation, but I have used Cover Girl Powder over any foundation that I have liked for so many years now. It will hold the foundation in place perfectly and reduce shine.

I definatly recommend Cover Girl Powder.
Is Neutrogena available in Australia? If so I recommend Neutrogena's SkinClearing Pressed powder. Otherwise, I recommend Maybelline's products.
i use liquid foundation and i use mabeline dream matte mouse foundation and then i use mabeline newyork powder

that always works for me (:

not shure wherever they do them brands there, but hope i helped (:
I use Revlon foundation n powder..from Aussie too lol! For over your foudnation, go with something VERT translucent...something that has almost no color, jst helps to set the foundation.
I personally really like Bare Minerals. I don't use foundation though, I just put face cream and then powder over it. Slightly healthier for the skin.
i use clinique foundation and powder... it's not to heavy especially since i have acne prone skin

  • How do you put on liquid foundation properly?

    how, i ask.. HOW?! lol

and do you need to put a powder ontop afterwards? How do you put on liquid foundation properly?
Get your sponge and dip it into water, put just a little bit on the tip of the sponge, then just dab it where yuu want too put it,then just rub inHow do you put on liquid foundation properly?
Heres what I do. Take a triangular or circular sponge and dampen it. Then depending on what liquid foundation your using apply some to the sponge and then put dots all around your face. Usually one on the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin area. Then just start smoothing it out with the sponge making sure to blend into your jawline and hair line. Also to eliminate redness in some areas just take the sponge and dab it onto the areas applying slight pressure on your skin, it helps with the redness.. Hope this helps.
Put some of the liquid on your finger and spot it around on your face. Then blend them in. Make sure you don't see any streaks. You don't need to put a powder over the top, but sometimes the liquid stuff can make your face shiny, and the powder removes that.

If you can see where the make up line ends (like around your jaw line) you need to get a different shade of foundation.
lol. well the smartest way to put liquid foundation on is to get a foundation brush.. like the one below..

    http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100290%26amp;navAction=jump%26amp;navCount=0%26amp;nug=VPD%26amp;skuid=sku3852332%26amp;id=prod3853483

put a little foundation on the brush and sweep it across your face.. its kinda like painting lol. make sure you blend it in with your neck... and after your have it evenly blended [make sure you blend blend blend so it doesnt look cakey] and then get a big kabuki brush and dab that into a loose powder... then sweep that across your face and finish it off with a little bit of blush [sweep up from checkbones to temples] and your done!

    hope that helped lol.
First put foundation on your nose, forehead, chin and cheeks.

With your chin spread it over your jaw line.

With your cheeks spread it over to the corner of your eyes.

With you forehead spread it over to your eye brows and cheeks.

With your nose spread it down to your cheeks.

Clean it up and fill in the places you haven't.

    Hope this helps =]
Use a damp sponge wedge and apply in a circular motion. To put powder on top, lightly dab a big fluffy brush in the powder, and also apply in a circular motion.
I use a MAC 187 stippling brush. It creates a flawless airbrushed look. Sponges are good but I find they soak up a lot of the product. I do set my foundation with MAC's Invisable set powder.

What foundation brush do you recommend using for a liquid foundation?

I've always read that you shouldn't use your fingertips to apply foundation...but you know what? I have tried it all, and fingers are the way to go...if you really want your foundation to blend and look natural, then start with clean hands, and really work the foundation into your skin, almost like massaging it in. You can always apply a second coat if you need too, but there is nothing worse than seeing streaks of foundation on someone's face that either used a sponge or a brush. What foundation brush do you recommend using for a liquid foundation?
    sponges work best

How old should you be to wear liquid foundation?

im 15, going to be 16 at the end of october. im going to be a sophmore in high school, and i was just wondering cuz im not sure if i should wear liquid or stick with powder??

=]How old should you be to wear liquid foundation?
I'm 50ish, stick with the powder, the liquid just clogs up your pores. eeewwwweeeee. How old should you be to wear liquid foundation?
i've been wearing liquid foundation since i was 11 because i did competitive cheerleading and it was required. i suggest sticking to the powder. liquid foundation is just a mess. it requires a lot of practice to make it look natural, clogs your pores, and is a hassle to put on.
I've started using liquid foundation when I was 13 cause I have acne and the liquid one gives me more coverage. I'm using liquid foundation daily for 7years now and it's ok. Use the one you find more convenient to use. If I didn't have acne I probably won't use any:-)
Stick with powder. You shouldn't use liquid. It clogs pores, It can cause acne and breakouts, And powder looks more Natural. It allows you skin to breath more too.

    ~MakeUpChick
Well I think that you are old enough, but you should stick with powder as it is more natural and better for your skin :D

Best liquid foundation for extremely dry skin?

I'm 24, and have extremely dry, flaky skin. I've decided to switch to liquid foundations, because powder/cream foundations seems to accentuate the dry patches on my face.

Can anyone recommend me a good quality liquid foundation for dry skin?

Thanks in advance!Best liquid foundation for extremely dry skin?
My condition is the same with you. I'm using Helena Rubinstein's Color Clone and very happy with the result. You may also try Chanel's Teint Fluid Universel Multi-Vitamin Natural Makeup with SPF 15.

But sometimes my skin gets extremely dry than the usual, at those times I use MAC Studio Moisture Cream under the foundation.Best liquid foundation for extremely dry skin?
I have you try putting on a moisturizer before you put on foundation? Sometimes it's the routine that you perform- it makes a big difference on how your make up look. For dry skin try this routine

wash your face with a cream cleanser- st Ives cream cleansers are great

now use a moisturizer- clinque dramatically different cream

also use a primer- it gives your foundation a smooth canvas to work on.

then use a foundation- maybelline superstay silky smooth- this never dry out my skin and it last for 10 hours on me

    I hope this helps

I also have very dry skin, Max Factor Colour Adapt is a good liquid foundation for dry skin, it dries to a silky non-powdery finish and gives good coverage without caking. To help combat the dryness have you tried Decleor Aromessence oils?. I'm 32 and after years of suffering with a flaky dry face the neroli Aromessence has made an unbelievable difference, it's completely natural too.
Liquid foundations are bad for dry skin. Liquid dries once you put in on your face which is BAD for dry skin. I have really dry skin to and i use bare minerals and it works great. Before you put on any make-up you should wash your face, use a toner, and then mosterize.
hey i have the exact same problem as you and i looked for so many diff type of foundation and the best one for me was Almay smart shade :) its very moisturazing

    Hi

I was just wondering where and what ones are the best. i am looking for liquid but without cakeiness and all that stuff so yeah thx!!What is the best liquid foundation? and where can i get it?
As a professional makeup artist for over 20 years I highly recommend Bee luscious Cosmetics Liquid minerals as well as their newest Photo Touch Mineral Foundation. The liquid minerals is such a light formula excellent for a perfect and flawless look every single time.

My clients won't use anything else it is that incredible. What is the best liquid foundation? and where can i get it?
Max factor liquid illusion foundation is a cheaper option but i works well for me.Its sold in a little block but when you touch it it turns into liquid, gives a good medium coverage, blends well and lasts for ages without going cakey. Its sold in boots and superdrug and costs about 拢12.

Whatever foundation you decide to get id recommend you try it out on your skin first because what works well for one person might not look so good on everyone else
If you like liquid foundation, then be sure to use something that has anti-aging benefits, like Mary Kay's liquid foundation. Here's the link and if you are not sure what shade color you are then choose the darkest of the two.

try one by revlon, it matches to your skin tone. i think its bare natural or something like that. i use it on occasion. you can get it at walmart, walgreens, target...

10 points whats better for you skin Maybellines Minerals Liquid Foundation or L'oreal bare naturals?

Which have you tried that you like, which is better for not making you break out, please help?10 points whats better for you skin Maybellines Minerals Liquid Foundation or L'oreal bare naturals?
I've used both and i love l'oreal bear naturals it really helped my face.. maybellines mineral liquid foundation has a weird yellowish tone to it, it doesn't really match to many peoples faces (i work as a beauty adviser and i test make up on the customer before i they buy that's how i know that).. I rarely sell any of the maybelline but the l'oreal is amazing i would spend that extra dollar and get that it's worth it..10 points whats better for you skin Maybellines Minerals Liquid Foundation or L'oreal bare naturals?
I think it's always boils down to your skin type and how you apply your makeup. I have heard good things about L'oreal mineral makeup. For example: if you have oily, acne-prone skin you will benefit from the Bare Naturale makeup since it will not clog your pores as much as a liquid foundation.

Also, always use a primer/makeup base to create a barrier between your skin and the makeup to reduce clogging of pores (which leads to pimples).

Take someone else's advice from real users on Makeupalley.com that includes testimonials of ever skin type and colour.
I haven't tried the Maybelline, but L'oreal Bare Naturale mineral foundation is a great, great product! They have a very wide variety of shades so it's easy to match your skintone perfectly, and this foundation gives a smooth, even coverage and leaves your skin feeling sooo soft. I would highly recommend it.

Yes, you should be able to find it anywhere!

  • When you apply liquid foundation, what kind of powder do you set it with?

On days when I'm not wearing liquid, I used pressed powders as my only foundation. When I wear liquid foundation, I never set it with a pressed powder, always loose. As a matter of fact, I first use a loose powder that adds a bit more coverage, then use a completely translucent loose powder on top of that to make the skin look more matte. What kind of powder do others of you use to set your liquid foundation, and do you have any valuable tips to provide? When you apply liquid foundation, what kind of powder do you set it with?
I always use loose powder, and never pressed. A make up artist told me that you should never 'drag' the powder puff over your skin, and instead dab, or blot your skin with the puff, almost in a rocking motion over your skin. I use the chanel 'poudre universelle' (please excuse my spelling), and I think it's great! I only use one layer of powder, or else my skin gets blotchy from too much product.

Also, when applying eye makeup, put excess loose powder, or talc under your eyes, and then it will catch any excess eyeshadow. Then simply brush it away. When you apply liquid foundation, what kind of powder do you set it with?
It depends on which foundation I'm wearing that day.

MAC Mineralize Satinfinish, I use L'oreal Hydra Perfect loose powder. I find that a loose powder helps cut down some of the shimmer in the foundation.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid, I use MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (pressed powder). The foundation already dries to a matte finish so I find this powder doesn't make me look too matte like a loose powder would.

    Creme foundations, loose powder.
You can use about any foundation powder.

I use Rimmel London powder, over my Sing. Club A cream foundation.

You can use translucent too, then just buff it in with a kabuki brush.
i use pressed powder all of the time,

Avon has wonderful foundations and powders that don't get cakey at all. They have an extended wear one for combination to oily skin that is what I have been using, Maigix is a primer that they have now that you can wear alone when your skin is clear and as smoother coverage under foundation too. Also a good one in the discount stores like Target or Walmart is Covergirl.

I have combination and acne prone skin. I used MAC foundation once and it made me breakout horribly. After a couple other foundations...I discovered Revlon Colorstay foundation and it is fantastic...no breakouts at all and covered up deep acne scars. If you decide to give this a try I recommend using it with a skunk brush (MAC 187 brush) it will give you an excellent airbrush look that's very natural appearing.
Girl...I am the same way. I LOVE Mac's studio tech foundation. It has maximum coverage and it makes you face look very ';sexy'; I face never looks cakey. Just Make sure you wear a primer if you have sensitive skin.

Can I use old liquid foundation if it has never been open?

I just got some maybelline superstay foundation from a store that had them marked down really low. But my bottle was never used. It still has NEW. Which means it could be to old. Because the product has been out for a few years.

And Is it safe to continue using it. Plus its the only liquid foundation I have. In addition, I also want to buy more of it, since it was cheap. I like it alot! Can I use old liquid foundation if it has never been open?
if it was to old and a cheap brand i recommend you dont. Your face is one of the most important parts of yourself and you should buy a good foundation even if its worth a little bit moreCan I use old liquid foundation if it has never been open?
yes im pretty positive its fine to use long as it was sealed. when its open and air hits it is when it starts to get funky and it wouldnt be good to use it after a long time, but since its new and just older but never opened it should be perfectly fine. i would definitely get more if it was really cheap and you like it, sounds like a great find.
It should be okay, since the bottle was sealed, but I would still be careful with it. Start by dabbing some on your wrist or the inside of your elbow and see how your skin reacts to it. Give it 24 hours before you apply it on your face. If you notice anything happening, wash it off immediately and chuck the bottle. Your skin is worth a lot more than the $5 you saved off the bottle.
on the back of cosmetic products there should be a symbol of a jar with a number in it. this tells you what the products life is after it was first opened. if you are absolutely 100% sure that it has never been opened, it should last a good 18months without being opened, then the length of time indicated on the label. foundation usually gets a funny smell if it is slightly out of date, have a sniff if it smells weird at all. but a new one- think of the bacteria that you will be spreading over your face if its off! yuck
it should be safe, if never opened.

what could it really do, make you come out in spots?

i do not think so (:

try it out, put if it doesnt look right or isnt the best quality anymore, for example has turned all crusty, or lumpy or whatever dont use it, go out and buy a new one.

you dont have to have the most expensive one there. cheap stuff works just as well.
You can you use it, but if it doesn't have an odd smell, seem abnormally thick, or your skin had any negative reaction stop using it immediately.
yes you can use it, definitely. if it wasn't opened or messed with..than why not! xoxo
yes it should be okay, but i would shake the bottle first to make sure there are no lumps of anything
No I would not use it if it is that old. I would just go to the store and get a new bottle. good luck!
    ye it should be fine

Use a foundation brush. It will make the coverage more even so your foundation doesn't end up looking patchy. Essence of Beauty makes really great brushes. You can find them in CVS. I hope this helps. Good luck
NEVER with your fingers!! always do it either with a sponge or a foundation brush.....do it in downward strokes so that it sits on ur skin rather than goes in it and clogs the pores
you can use fingers or a sponge.

i use my fingers cuz thats how some Chanel lady showed me how to do it at Myers once.

FYI: it works just as good with fingers.
A sponge. And apply water... Before that ofcourse.

Does the powder used on top of liquid foundation lead to oily skin?

I am looking for the perfect makeup for my face. I definitely have breakouts, but only my forehead appears oily at the most... As far as powder goes, would I be better off avoiding the powder (so there is less to clog my pores) or would it help absorb the oil?Does the powder used on top of liquid foundation lead to oily skin?
i have the perfect solution for you ...im 14 and have oilyskin and breakouts too .....so i use bye bye blemish corrective minerals and its the best make up in the world my cheeks are quite red and it covers it without covering my frckles and my t zone is extremly olit and it covers that and stays in place even at gymnastics lol its made not to clog pores and after a week of using it its true my skin looks amazing as far as your question too haeavy of either liquid or powder would clog your pores but this applies more to powder in my experience make sure you remove your make up fully each day whenever you dont need to wear it and drink plenty of water for good skin

    good luck

xxxDoes the powder used on top of liquid foundation lead to oily skin?
Powder on top of foundation doesn't make your skin create more oil but if it isn't oil-free it might seem that way. If you're prone to breakouts, applying too much pressed powder throughout the day can contribute to clogged pores and breakouts.

I have weird skin that is dry but breaks out when I use the wrong products because it's sensitive. I still use loose powder, not to absorb oil but because it helps set your foundation and makes it last longer. For that purpose, try a loose powder that's good quality and finely milled. Sonia Kashuk makes a loose powder for target stores that's very good quality but not as expensive as higher end brands.

As for getting rid of oil during the day, instead of powder try those blue clean %26amp; clear oil absorbing sheets. Many drugstores make their own knockoffs of them and work exactly the same (I know CVS, Walmart, and rite aid do). They're a godsend! I use them every day. They don't affect your makeup and don't add anything to your face but take away the oil. Just make sure to BLOT with them, not rub it across your face (I've seen some people do this).
it depends what kind of pressed powder you use...

like a mineral foundation is good...

the oil based kind can clog your pores....

uhm if you have breakouts...have you ever considered the fact that the foundation can beh the cause...

I used to beh a cakeface and would always wonder why my skin was sooo bad...

and so in order to hide my bad skin....i'd pile on foundation...

it kept getting worse then finally i realized...maybeh it's my foundation causing this..

I stopped using it and started really taking care of my skin...

and watching what I ate....because that can affect your skin too...

    and my skin cleared up....

    try different exfoliants...and cleansers....

stuff with antioxidants and aloe....plus some stuff with like citris....to liven up your skin....you'll see an improvement
well i would recommend using cover up for your acne...not foundation...i also have acne...i just use cover up for my acne and then use a little of mineral powder on top of the cover up...and it doesn't get oily%26lt;33
the liquid foundation is what's contributing to the oily skin.

    ..not the powder.

invest in zeno u can find at sephora. pretty soon u wont have acne and try using a powder foundation it absorbs some of the oil

Neutrogena makes liquid foundation with salicylic acid in it to prevent breakouts. It's a bit expensive, but it works...or you could try Physician's Formula.
try an oil free foundation, and then on top that put on a light coat of powder foundation, that will help it from getting shiny/oily later on in the day
The best is bee luscious cosmetics liquid powder mineral foundation by far !!
I will be honest with you, I am much older and have tried everything, yet it always lacks SOMETHING...

I found a fantastic foundation on line and it has been the first and only product that gave me incredible results.

Bee Luscious Cosmetics , liquid powder mineral foundation, they send you samples to try color or I ran it through their software and the color came and matched me perfectly. I would give them a try. It's truly flawless
Any liquid foundation is horrible for oily skin. If you're going to wear make-up, wear the minimum. Your makeup regimen is probably a partial cause to your acne. Go here for information on how to keep your skin healthy (and less acne-prone). And no, this isn't a sales tactic...there's nothing to buy, it's just informative.

How to lighten dark liquid foundation?

I got a dark Foundation to dark for my skin,

What to do?How to lighten dark liquid foundation?
You should get another one that's slightly too light for you and mix them together. Add a little at a time until you get the right shade for you. If you need a quick fix, mix a little of the darker foundation with your facial moisturizer to dilute it. You can also dust your face with a translucent or light powder...a great trick for lightening any makeup, and it gives it a little staying power! How to lighten dark liquid foundation?
I think by gifting it to someone is a better idea then mixing in.

By the way try going up the same shop you bought it and explain them how you got the wrong base colour .. and suggest that they keep as SAMPLE and re bust you half the amount and you can purchase the right type for you
I always add some bronzer to it. Take some tweezers or a mechanical pencil with the lead tip broken off and scratch the bronzer (much like a violinists scratches rosin for their bow). Dip your finger in the bronzer powder, add the foundation and voila!
after you applied your liquid foundation apply a much lighter shade of blusher or pressed face powder or just go down the easy root and buy a lighter shade
suggestion on getting a new foundation.

Adding unknown substances could cause damage to your skin.

    be careful.
mix it with moisturizer, it not only makes it lighter but its better for your skin! Hope this helped :) x
Buy another one that's lighter and mix them.
I add a moisteriser to it. Make's it easier to apply then too :)

What is the best liquid foundation can you recommend?

I tried 3 kinds, but my face become black, and oily. What is the best liquid foundation can you recommend?
Catherine, first be sure to clean and protect (moisturize) your skin before applying foundation and your foundation should be water based (not oil based) - I like the products at aularale.com/7002 for skin care and foundation. What is the best liquid foundation can you recommend?
MAC MAC MAC. you carnt beat MAC. I have about 20 bottles of it because its so good. It lasts all day and the bottle has last me for a year so you get your money out of it. Definatly doesnt block my pores, it makes my skin look fresh and healthy :) Report Abuse

oddly enough, Mary Kay has really wonderful foundation. And they sell an oil matifier to prevent oily build up and breakouts.
Try the matt mousse foundation by maybelline, it doesnt make your skin oily at all!

Can I use this brush to apply liquid foundation?

I just started wearing liquid foundation and I'm not sure on the best way to apply it. I have a sponge because I hate putting it on with my fingers but I've been hearing using a foundation brush is better. Can I use the Full Coverage Kabuki Brush that I have from when I wore Bare Minerals or should I go buy a different kind of brush?

Thanks! Can I use this brush to apply liquid foundation?
Don't use the Kabuki brush because it will soak up too much foundation and you will waste it and end up applying too much on your face. If there is a Target close by, go out and grab Sonia Kashuk's foundation brush (around $15). It's cheaper than most you find at the mall and works a lot better...I couldn't live without mine!

The reason for the foundation brush is to use less foundation, not contaminate the bottle, and to get an even and perfect application. You can get this with sponges too, but some of them soak up foundation and you have to buy them constantly. It's better if you buy one brush and wash it weekly. Can I use this brush to apply liquid foundation?
You know the best way to apply it is with the tips of your fingers..you see the warmth of your hands with melt it a little and make it easier to apply.

You also get much more even coverage, with your fingers, I also agree with one of the other posters, when you use a sponge, it tends to waste a lot of your foundation because the sponge is well a sponge and will soak up a lot more of your foundation.

    Good Luck
I'm pretty sure a kabuki brush is for powder. A good foundation brush will cost you about $30 no matter where you buy it, but it is well worth the investment!! Just make sure to clean it with soap and warm water (gently) about once a week. I have had mine for 2+ years now, and have just taken very good care of it and it still does an amazing job. I know Estee Lauder has brush sets - a set of brushes for all different things (powder, foundation, concealor, eyeshadow) - a set is about $80 but a good investment if you want your makeup to look amazing. You just must, must, must remember to clean your brushes regularly, or it will be bad news for your skin!
I used to use Bare Minerals, and the Kabuki Brush that comes with the kit is only for mineral foundation.

I got this brush set for Christmas and I love the foundation brush that comes with it:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

You could also try this Clinique foundation brush, my mom uses it and she loves it:

    http://www.clinique.ca/templates/product鈥?/a>
well, when i put liquid foundation on i use my fingers, but if you don't like using your fingers i would strongly suggest that you use like a special type of liquid foundation brush like i use a mary Kate brush sometimes and it works very well, but definitely don't use the mineral cover up brush it ruins the brush and shows up blotchy on your skin sometimes.
no you can get like wide thin brushes which are quite big to apply liquid foundation, mac do special brushes

but best not use eye shadow brushes as they can ruin them, believe me i know :/

also you can use sponges ( makeup ones ) not normal ones lol, they workwell.

ysl do a foundation/concealer brush ';touch eclat'; and it says the brush it why it looks flawless

    hope i helped

    x
First off, Do not listen to the post about NOT using a brush for foundation. All the make up artists use brushes and in fact many brands offer FOUNDATION BRUSHES for LIQUID ONLY. I love the one at target by sonia kushuk!

    http://www.target.com/Kashuk-Tools-Found鈥?/a>

As far as if its BETTER or EASIER, I think that is a personal preference so you will just have to find one, buy it, and try it. But you will prob still use your spongue to fine tune the finish.

DO NOT USE JUST ANY BRUSH AND DONT YOU DARE USE A KABUKI BRUSH FOR LIQUID! ACK lol.... good luck.

check out youtube for tut's on applying liquid foundation with a brush.
a brush should NEVER be used to apply a liquid foundation or concealer, you can use a sponge which works quite well, or just get over using your hands. The warmth helps for coverage. Brushes should be used to apply pressed powders and loose powders.

There's loads of makeup teaching videos on youtube =D
You're right, sponges tend to ';eat'; the product, it just ends up getting wasted because it soaks most of it up. You can use a Kabuki Brush, I find it gives me the best coverage when using mineral powder make-up and my Mac Studio Fix Fluid. You can always settle for a small foundation brush, but I love the airbrushed effect 'buki's give. Plus, they look so cute; especially in their cute travel sizes!
you should never use just any 'ole brush to put on liquid foundation....you're going to ruin it! especially a kabuki brush, that is the LAST thing you should use. sheesh.

a foundation brush is flat, like this http://images.beauty-images.com/jid/cata鈥?/a>

personally, i think thin sponges are much easier and blend in the foundation better, and you have more control over the application. just make sure that you change sponges at least every week.
That brush is for powder foundation. For liquid foundation use: http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/invt/10583
generally brushes are for powder and sponges are for liquid.

I prefer my fingertips over anything for liquid. its easier to blend and control with your fingertips. you'll get used to it eventually.
a stipller brush is grat they are a bit expensive if you get it from mac. but you can get one from costal scents brush for like 7 or 8 dollars
you ahve to use the sponge, you'll ruin the brush and it wont work... :/
u can only use a brush if it is a non liquid foundation...
u dont use a brush for liquid foundation but maybe a sponge would work

When using a liquid foundation is it best to wear powder or liquid bronzer?

Ive never worn make up before so I know nothing about it, please help me! :)When using a liquid foundation is it best to wear powder or liquid bronzer?
Liquid foundation is for more coverage which has a chance of clog pores.

Mineral Foundation (powder) have a less change of clog pores, but

dosent give a lot of cover.

Tint moisturizer is a like foundation that gives you a glow. Like a bronzer. (usually for summer or spring)

HTHWhen using a liquid foundation is it best to wear powder or liquid bronzer?
I use cream foundation, but liquid foundation is more known to clog pores and it covers imperfections well. It is best to wear powder, even though I hate how it looks on me and it doesn't cover much and it sure doesn't last long.
I always wear powder bronzer. The liquid bronzer just makes a mess. My favorite bronzer is called Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder. I wear it every single day. It's true perfection.

    I am a makeup artist.

I just have to say: I've never heard of BeeLusious, EVER, so they can't be that good..and for the prices they charge, you can by Dior!!!

With that said, you should have a good skin care regime. You should wash your face with a gentle cleanser made for dry skin, and ALWAYS use a rich moisturizer after washing your face, try..

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer Lotion ($24):

    http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?鈥?/a>

or Sephora Brand FACE Moisturizer ($18):

    http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?鈥?/a>

..and right before you put on foundation. If you have some flaking, use a slightly abrasive scrub once a week to help remove them.

For foundation, tinted moisturizers are the best way to go. They will keep your skin hydrated throughout the day, a good one to try is Physician's Formula Organic Wear Tinted Moisturizer ($10 at CVS), or Sephora Brand Tinted Moisturizer ($18 at Sephora.com). However, they don't provide very much coverage.

Liquid foundations will give you more coverage. They will help keep moisture in and will glide onto your dry skin easily. Some to try are..

    Cover Girl Advanced Radiance ($14):

    http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc鈥?/a>

Sephora Brand Hydrating %26amp; Smoothing Foundation ($20):

    http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?鈥?/a>

    Maybelline Pure Makeup ($5):

    http://www.maybelline.com/Product/Face/F鈥?/a>

Creme foundations may be better than liquid at providing coverage AND moisture. You could also try oil-based cremes, but be careful, as they can clog pores easily. Try these...

    Covergirl Aquasmooth ($9):

    http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc鈥?/a>

    Mac Moistureblend ($29):

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.鈥?/a>

Mac Full Coverage (Price Unlisted, Call Mac Pro to Order):

    http://www.macpro.com/templates/products鈥?/a>

Remember to stay away from powders, as they will only make your skin drier.

If you find that even moisturizing foundations are making you dry, add some moisturizer to your foundation. Scoop out a little bit of liquid foundation on your hand, squeeze a few dots of moisturizer on top, and mix it with your foundation brush then apply immediately. You can also try using a primer (apply after moisturizer and before foundation), such as Rimmel's Fix %26amp; Perfect Primer ($6 at Walmart).

Hope this helps! :)What is a good liquid foundation for really dry skin?

i personally use maybelline dream liquid mousse. i love it. coverage is great. this is the first foundation ive found to PERFECTLY match my skintone.

i would say if youre worried about cakey, just go with a tinted moisturizer. Like Jane, at walgreens. coverage is minimal. but you might like it.

What's the best drug store liquid foundation?

I used to buy my makeup from department stores, but realized I could get the same quality at drug stores for a much cheaper price.I'm pretty content with the foundation I use now (Revlon) but want to try something new. I have also tried Neutrogena. I need something that can cover up the occasional breakout, as well as last all day. It also needs to be oil-free. Thanks in advance. What's the best drug store liquid foundation?
cover girl tru blend micro minerals is AMAZING. A-MAZ-ING!

I used to wear just liquids all the time. Then this came out. I've been obsessed with it. It IS a powder, mineral powder. It has great coverage and hides all my little break outs. It looks like a liquid but feels like a powder. I love it. You should try it. It's about 10 dollars wherever you get it, but it's worth it. I used to use MAC and Bare Essentials..but this is just as good.

    Good luck!

**What's the best drug store liquid foundation?
If you have oily skin, then liquid foundation isn't a very good idea. It wont blend in properly because of the oiliness and wont stay too long. Try getting a powder form. I have oily skin too and so far no liquid foundation suits my skin type. If you;re looking at drug store brands then I would say try NYC foundations. I use NYC bare mineral loose powder and it gives me really good coverage.

    Here's the website

    http://www.newyorkcolor.com/products/ind鈥?/a>
Neutrogena's micro-clear technology in their foundations is pretty good with acne. Revlon is the master of drug store foundations. Cover Girl has been a favorite. You may want to try Maybelline mousse (let's your pores breathe) and their mineral line (covers really well and plus good for acne-prone skin due to its mineral properties). they also have this active on the go foundation -can't quite remember the name -that's good if you're a student always on the go but you don't need to look like you're attending a ball or something.

and always always always -remember SPF!!!!

    take care!
Revlon Colorstay! I'm not sure if that's the same Revlon you have, but I highly recommend it. It doesn't make me the least bit orange and isn't cakey. It also has great coverage, so a concealer isn't really needed. I'm so happy that the foundation is kind of customized for your skin type. They have a Normal to Dry one, and an Combination/Oily one. I use the Combination/Oily one because well, my face is disgustingly oily haha. I still have to touch up the oil on my face by lunch time, but other than that, my foundation looks perfect alll day! Another favorite of mine is Almay Smart Shade. It's more like a tinted moisturizer but it's perfect for summer when you don't want to have loads of make up on :)
To be honest, drug store foundation is not at all better than department stores who make great quality good for a higher price. There may be one or two gems in the drug store but overall in a department store everything is mostly really good.

I'd suggest going to The Body Shop instead, they do quite good foundations in around 11 colours for a good price. There makeup is also oil free and kind to the environment.
Well form my previous experiences it depends a lot on the type of skin you have, and also how much you are willing to pay. The cheap ones can often work okay but most of the cheapest ones don't work too well (such as http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/160558/200.jpg , to me that foundation barely does a thing and certainly doesn't last) I recently tried the Maybelline pure makeup, its oil free, I find that for its alright price that it works really well although it isn't likely to last the whole day without touchups. There are some foundations that promise all sorts of wondrous things but are ridiculously expensive, I recommend going for a middle range price. The main thing is trial %26amp; error as different foundations work differently depending on your skin. So maybe try the Maybelline Pure Makeup ( http://www.glossi.com.au/cart/images/PureMakeup.jpg ) and see how that goes for you. And always make sure you get the right shade, recently girls have been wearing foundation a few shades darker than their skin tone because everyone wants to look 'tanned' and such, but this can look really tacky (and orange!) if you don't get it right, so get one that matches your skin. :)
i have tried the revlon colorstay and thats probably what you use. haha

but another one i really love love is loreal paris infallible makeup. its a lot like colorstay but i feel that it lasts longer and goes on smoother. I am actually on my way to walgreens to buy the loreal one! Good Luck!
    maybeline!

    i love it!

    it's a little pricy,

    but totally worth it.

    it stay on all day

    and won't brush off

    or fade away until

you take it off at night.

    if that is too pricy,

    my second suggestion would

    be covergirl!

    good luck!
    Cover Girl

but if you want to know the best make up is made by Mary Kay. Have used it for over 30 yrs and it is a clean makeup.
I would say L'Oreal, but it's always good to be able to try before you buy.

Liquid clogs pores causing more acne, i would use compact

try some concealer to cover spots or bumps, then put on some mineral powder foundation it a whole lot lighter on the skin looks as if you not wearing any makeup at all.
Neither! Have you ever heard of concealer?

Girls-How many of you wear liquid foundation or powder?

I was wondering how many girls (in the age range of 15-19) wear liquid foundation or powder makeup to school.Girls-How many of you wear liquid foundation or powder?
I love to wear powder foundation. Plus, I don't get my hands/fingers dirty from applying the liquid foundation. Using a brush is much more easier for me! :]Girls-How many of you wear liquid foundation or powder?
17 and I wear mineral powder foundation. I find that it looks better on my skin and looks/feels a lot more natural. I can't even wear liquids anymore because it just feels so... foreign on my skin haha. And it lasts a lot better when I sweat (so if I go to work for a 4 hour shift and just run the whole time, when I go home I'm only shiny, but the foundation is still there).
Both and it looks natural :D

But if I'm just going to run to the store, I don't bother to wear any makeup, I don't look like a train wreck, I just like to enhance my features, but i dont have any reason to show off to the clerks at the grocery store ;)
i use liquid, the almay smart shade one, that is white, then matches your skin tone, because i dont need to cover-up anything, all i need to do is even out my skin-tone.

i hate the feeling of powder, i feel like my skin cant breath, weird, i know...

Can you have liquid foundation in your carryon?

my favorite foundation is currently pure makeup by maybelline in a small plastic bottle.

i know the airlines are strict about what you bring with you on the plane, but would i have problems bringing my foundation with me?Can you have liquid foundation in your carryon?
You need to have them in 3 ounce or less bottles, and put them in a clear zip-lock bag when you take them through security.

But Yes, you can bring it on-board with you.Can you have liquid foundation in your carryon?
Not as long as your total liquid volume in your carry-on is no more than 3 ounces. I usually just buy some when I arrive at my destination city unless I'm going overseas in which case I put some in a larger, unbreakable plastic bottle, wrap it tightly in saran wrap and then put it into a ziplock plastic bag in my checked luggage.
You can bring up to 3 oz. The best site for what you can and can not bring on flights is the TSA sight at

    :

    http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p鈥?/a>

Just pack small. I had a friend who had to give up her favorite perfume as it was over the 3 oz. limit. If you have something larger than that, double bag it in zip lock bags, and put between clothes in your checked bags.
If it is less than 3 oz, yes. Keep in mind that it cannot be 3 oz in a larger container - it has to be marked 3 oz on the container, otherwise you will be made to throw it out. Most drugstore brands are less than 3 oz so you should be fine.
Under 7 ounces bottle put in a plastick zip bag is ok.

What are the pros and cons of Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation?

care to tell me? im planning on buying it !

tyyyWhat are the pros and cons of Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation?
Pros: It's inexpensive, you can find it everywhere, it works, it's easy to use, and it comes in two different formulas.

Cons: You can't test it before you buy it, if you get the wrong shade the store might not take it back, not all shades are available at all stores, the colorstay powder that goes with it is just okay.

I recommend that you go ahead and try it and see if it works for you. What are the pros and cons of Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation?
well, it covers up acne and other stuff you wanna hide. but it might clog your pores if you have sensitive skin.

Well, I like Mary Kay for oil controlling. If you go to marykay.com then they will connect you with a consultant in your area. Then have an oil control lotion that is an oily skin moisturizer. Then, they have a whole line of foundations for oily skin. You pick your shade and then request it in medium coverage. Also, if you get oily during the day, they have an oil mattifying cream, and oil-blotting tissues to carry in your purse for touching-up the oily skin. I hope that this helps you!
you can use Velocity lightweight moisturizer (it softens skin while controlling excess oil on the face) and medium coverage foundation (it is formulated for oily skin type and it controls oil for up to eight hours) by Mary Kay. your can order on-line and shipping is free

What can i put under liquid foundation to stop pores clogging?

I found the best liquid foundation in the world for my skin! It's such great coverage and looks amazing, and i don't even need to use concealer for my spotty skin.

But, i have to take care of my pores. i'm on medication for unclogging pores, but i need something to put under my foundation to protect my pores.

what can i use? What can i put under liquid foundation to stop pores clogging?
If your trying to unclog pores then you should probably stop wearing foundation for a while. What can i put under liquid foundation to stop pores clogging?
skip foundation, and go for a tinted moisturizer or sunblock! it works better. i used to love foundation, until i found out that putting on sublock and then pressed/loose powder over it was wayy better. it doesnt clog ur pores as much, and i love it cz it stays on the whole day! i ddnt even have to retouch my makeup or anything. you should give it a try. or if u really like foundation do this --- mix a small amount of foundation with sunblock/ moisturizer.. it wont clog ur pores as much and it works just as well cz theres the foundation u like mixed in it %26amp;%26amp; plus it protects ur skin from the harsh rays of the sun! so its a win-win situation. give it a try! YouKnowYou'llLoveIt. :)
    try a primer
You could use primer and liquid foundation, but if you're having problems with your pores you should try mineral powder instead. I use bare minerals and it covers my flaws and it's way lighter and more natural looking than liquid.
    primer
    Try a primer...

Or a really heavy duty moisturiser.

    :)
Use the Smashbox Photo Finish Light primer, unless you can find a cheaper primer made for oily skin. It is made for oily and acne-prone skin and I absolutely love it.

  • How should I apply a liquid foundation?

It's Revlon's ColorStay make up, in a glass bottle and thick and liquidy.

With a sponge? Or with my hands?

I'm usin' it for coverage for acne, if that helps. How should I apply a liquid foundation?
I advise against using your fingers to apply foundation to your entire face, because it's hard to get even coverage that way and since there is oil on your fingers you are adding extra oil to your face.

You can use a sponge, but a brush works best. It gives you a flawless finish, because you can control how much you apply and apply your foundation in light layers. Put a dab of foundation on the back of your hand, tap your brush into the foundation and stipple it onto your face. Stipple is a fancy way of saying tap it all over your face. To blend the foundation swirl the brush in circular motions around your face. If you need more coverage in a certain area, then stipple and swirl that particular area again. Set your foundation with a powder and you're done. MAC ($20-30) has the best brushes, but they're pricey and any foundation brush will work well.

Here's a youtube tutorial that you can follow

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqVpV-xih鈥?/a>How should I apply a liquid foundation?
put a tiny bit of the foundation on a triangular foundation sponge. and i mean a tiny amount! 2 much will make you look greasy! then start at your nose, and gently apply it, fron the middle of your nose out, then from inbetween your eyebrows and up. make sure everything is covered, then lightly use powder foundation.

this will cover everything up, and make you not greasy!
Well use cosmetic sponges like these -- http://www.sbcgels.co.uk/images/Pro_91SP鈥?/a>

all you do is get your find and dab some of the liquid on your face. One dab on your forehead, one dab for your cheek and other cheek to, one on your chin and one on your nose. than you get the sponge and just smear it on your face all around. Make sure if you wear eye make up or blush, that yu do it after.

If you don't or cant get a sponge for some reason you can always just use your hand and wash your hand after, it works too,
first so u dont get any more acne make sure that before u do anything base ur skin with lotion.

I use clinique... it works wonders

then... take a makeup sponge and blend it in loosely... make sure to blend really well around the hairline and neck... you want it to look natural. not like ur wearing foundation.

get a good film... if u can still see acne, next time you do it cover them up w/ coverup and then concealer and the foundation

add some bronzer for an earthy glow
You can use your fingers if you wash them before application.

Then just put it on the front of your hand and take your fingers and apply it spreading downward. Blend down the jawline and hairline. Buff it all over with a kabuki brush.
sponge. if you touch the spots, you will spread oil causing more acne.

try a green secret agent primer, also. green balances the red of acne.

i use a brush, which i bought at the clinique counter. it is very smoothe and gives your face an air-brushed look. i have one and i absolutely love it! they are about 28.00 dollars. hope it helps!
you should apply it with a make up sponge or a foundation brush, don't apply it with your fingers because that mixes the oils and bacteria on your hands on your face and can cause acne
Use a sponge and dot it around your face. Then also use the sponge to spread it out evenly.
Use a roller for even coverage.
    Use those cosmetic sponges

Brush for liquid foundation and the benefits?

What kind of brush do I need to apply a liquid foundation? I have always used my hands or a sponge. What are the benefits of using a brush for this?Brush for liquid foundation and the benefits?
A foundation brush will give you a nice coverage without wasting product. The sponge just wastes product. Your hands work well, but the coverage may not be as uniform all over.

Try Target. The Sonia Kashuk (sp?) line has a nearly identical brush to the Bobbi Brown foundation brush for 1/3 the price-$15. If you keep it clean with baby hair wash (about once a week), it will last you a long time.Brush for liquid foundation and the benefits?
Brushes give you a more even finish by blending more and don't tug on the skin which can irritate it. I actually really love the Body Shop foundation brush. Just a warning: brushes can be a bit more high maintenance as you need to clean them more. I wash mine ever 2 days. I take baby soap and put a bunch in the palm of my hand, then I wet the brush with super hot water and I swish the brush around in my palm, rinse it and repeat those two steps until it's completely clean. If you don't clean it, it could develop bacteria and make you break out.

    Good luck!!
try MAC's 187 brush. its a stippling brush and you stiple it on your face then blend. it gives a natural/flawless airbrushed look also makeup sponges are filled with bacteria not with a brush that can be easliy washed and also brushes last longer(well high quality ones do) and sponges yo have to keep buying watsing money. The brush costs $42 USD but trust me its worth it I had mine for 5 years and it hasnt shed at all and looks brand new.
You could use any eyeshadow brush like the one here : http://www.mandee.com/nshop/product.php?view=detail%26amp;groupName=perfume%26amp;productid[]=MD-M08812085581000%26amp;startColor[]=%26amp;dept=%26amp;sale= it is the long brush on the right.

Depending what sort of coverage your looking for and how much you want to spend. I love MAC Liquid foundation for medium to full coverage i would say there studio fix fluid is the best comes with a huge range to match your skin tone and the artists there will help get your match a cheaper medium build-able coverage try l'oreal infailable. For light coverage MAC have a mineral foundation and maybeillne also have a nice one. Powder wise Mac have a nice range mineral and full coverage. the Maybeline have a really nice mineral powder. What do you think is a goood age to start wearing liquid foundation?

I think 14 or 15? I dont know, what do you guys thinkWhat do you think is a goood age to start wearing liquid foundation?
middle school...or when you need it?What do you think is a goood age to start wearing liquid foundation?
Well, liquid foundation is just one type of foundation, so its doesn't matter what age you use it at. Its about your preference, and some people prefer a liquid as opposed to say..a powder.

You can start using foundation whenever you feel like you want to just enhance your natural appearance and even out your skin. Or maybe you have slight acne and would like to hide it. Its all about what you're comfortable with. Some people never wear makeup in their life! I personally started wearing make up to school and such when i was 13. But really, its your own choice.
LOL, I wore mac in 5th grade!!?
IF you do make sure that you TAKE IT OFF!! and take care of this..lol

    but um. 14 i guess.

What is the best liquid foundation to wear for Prom?

I use Almay Smart Shade daily to balance out my skin tone but I want something with more coverage so I can look flawless in my pictures.

Something that lasts a long time too cause I have oily skin and I'll most likely sweat a little while we're taking pictures, dancing, etc. What is the best liquid foundation to wear for Prom?
I actually suggest using Bare Minerals powder foundation. It has the same flawless coverage but won't cake on and it lasts even thru hours of dancing. Plus if u need a touch up, you can buy a compact to keep in your purse that's small and lightweight. I've been using Bare Minerals since high school and I am hooked. What is the best liquid foundation to wear for Prom?
Depending on your skin. If you have oily skin i wouldn't wear any foundation. It will only make you look oily and shiny since you most likely be dancing. But the one i would recommend if you really want to wear foundation is to wear Revlon. It lasts a long time and won't rub off either.
Don't wear liquid foundation. Wear concealer.

    :]
Try MAC. I have giant pores that show and I have a few acne scars so I went to the MAC counter and they helped me with a foundation. Good luck!
Dinair Airbrush Makeup for sure!!! Its last all day and makes my skin look flawless...just google Dinair and u can look up their site...have fun at prom!!!
    I don't know, try clinique
dont wear liquid it will make u look weird in the pics wear bare minerals.

  • What is a good liquid foundation for a man?

I'm a man that has horrible skin, and even worse scarring from acne. I MUST use some foundation but I have no knowledge in this area. What is a good foundation that wouldn't be so noticeable on a man? How do I pick out a foundation?

I am limited to walgreens or walmart.....What is a good liquid foundation for a man?
    okayy..

so. I really suggest you use mineral foundation, so it won't clog your pores and look too unatural. You can buy the liquid and the healthy veil together or just buy the powder foundation which comes with a kabuki brush applicator. Yeah..it's mineral foundation maybeline. So that's what i reccomend makeup wise.

there are products that get rid of acne scarring, pick something with exfoliating beads..just not st. ives, (apricot scrub, why? well the little pieces inside the scrub are actually made of apricot seed, so they'ree not rounded and will rip open your pores)

Then, there are some masks..these are available at walmart or your local drugstore. which also remove acne scarring.

    do you still have acne?

you should have a routine you use to wash your face.

there should be a cleanser (beads infused) i like noxema.

a toner, which makes sure your skin is the same color all over

and a moisturizer..if you have oily skin then get a ';gel'; moisturizer.

i seriosuly reccomend ';boots'; rebalancing moisturizer.

    that's all

best of luck :D woop %26lt;3

How can you stop liquid foundation going blotchy?

I use loreal true match and i think that it great as it matches my skin perfectly and is really easy to use,but after about 3 hours of wearing it it goes all blotchy how can i stop this? How can you stop liquid foundation going blotchy?
Exfoliate with a washcloth daily %26amp; apply moisturizer before applying the foundation. Make sure the moisturizer is absorbed - this gives an even surface to your skin.

Apply the foundation with a makeup wedge (make sure it doesn't have latex if you know you're allergic). Try not to touch your face throughout the day. You can try to set with a light, loose powder, too, if the problem persists. Good luck! How can you stop liquid foundation going blotchy?
Sorry but that is normal for the cheap foundations. That's why they are cheap. Go for something a little more on the higher end and you won't run into that problem or have to jump through hoops to avoid th problem.
Wash then moisturize ur face before u apply make-up. But try Maybelline's cream matte mousse. You dont have to worry about it getting blotchy or shaking it before u use it
Make sure that you're not applying to much and also try to apply it with a sponge to spread it out!
make sure your face has a good moisturizer firstly then use some make up sponges to apply then layer and i mean thin to make sure you dont have lines and just make sure to reapply throughout the day
You picked the wrong foundation. Make sure you always wash your face very well, then exfoliate, then moisturize. Only then apply foundation. Make sure that you use a light weight one and do not apply too much. Talk to a cosmetics expert and try something made for your age and skin type. My personal favorite: Clinique Superfit Makeup, for my part oily part normal skin, I am 30 and I wear it since I am 21
i think all you would have to do to keep that from happening is apply a thin layer of powder over it thats what i do?

How do you wear liquid foundation and concealer for sports?? Please help?

I just wear simple makeup to cover up things i dont want everyone to see, and i still want to do that for sports. Should i just put the foundation and concealer where i need it, or cover my face with the foundation? Any tips on how to wear makeup for sports would helpp. I'm afraid if i just spot the makeup, not the whole face, that i will look really weird at the end.How do you wear liquid foundation and concealer for sports?? Please help?
First of all, it's really important to wear a foundation that is the right shade for your skin tone - never too dark.

Wear the foundation all over your face and neck, even for sports, and make sure you blend it in really well. If the shade is right then it wont look like you are covered in makeup, it will just even out your skin and help to hide any blemishes. You can even get foundations that include an spf which will be really useful for outdoor sports.

Just dot the concealer where you need it and blend well. Perfect skin! How do you wear liquid foundation and concealer for sports?? Please help?
you shouldn't use any for physical activities, because it keeps your skin from contact with air when sweating. however, if it is necessary, just use concealer or powder where you need it.
Don't use liquid foundation! It's a bit more heavier than powders, so if you start sweating, your face will look like it will fall off. If you really need foundation, try mineral powders. Also use concealer sticks or powders instead of liquid ones.

You can also just use concealer, but almost make it like a foundation. Use it under the eyes (bag lines), around the nostrils, and around your lips (where the lines are formed by your lips). Blend it in, and then cover up your blemishes. This is healthier and lighter for your skin, and you save a lot of the foundation product. It's also not as heavy.

Don't worry though, people who are playing sports with you won't be looking as their best, anyways, so don't feel so self-conscious(:

How do you put liquid foundation on?

I've been using powders all my life, and I've never used a liquid foundation before.

I'm totally in the dark, in all aspects, as to how to do this.

I feel like a straight man in the tampon isle for his girlfriend, totallyyyy confused. Hah.How do you put liquid foundation on?
I don't think your makeup can melt off? Generally, it fades throughout the day. Foundation can basically be applied with your fingers, a foundation brush, or a makeup sponge. Use one of those and simply dip it into the foundation (Or apply small dabs of foundation to the face, and then blend with a foundation brush) and apply an even, minimal amount around your face. If you can tell that the foundation is on your face, it's too much! It is almost like applying a powder, only in liquid form. How do you put liquid foundation on?
Don't worry about it it's not to hard!

When I've gotten my makeup down profesh, they use makeup brushes, just like ones you would use for powder. Although once you use the brush for liquid foundation you can't really use it again for other things, haha. So another thing you can use is a cotton ball, this might be easier to find.
OMG!! I love liquid foundation!! It makes your skin look perfect!! If used right!!

    1. Buy a foundation brush. Ex.http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?鈥?/a>

    2. With your finger dab spots of the foundation all over your face

3.Then with the brush rub it in all over your face....its kinda like a paint brush i guess...

    4. Use a powder and dab it all over your face!!

    5. Now do blush, eye makeup, gloss anything else you do and WALLA!! haha
I would stick to powder! Liquid foundation clogs up your pores! Sometimes it might melt off, making it look streaky. Also, if you buy the wrong colour and don't blend it properly, you're going to have strange lines around the edge of your face.

    POWDER IS #1!
You can use your fingers and just spread it on lightly or you can use one of those mkae up sponges. I try not to use liquid often because of clogging of pores... try the new mineral powder it works just as well and is way better for your face!
I was totally like you before I started using make up. I've just gotten better help with visuals and this video helped me quite a lot before. See if it helps you. %26lt;3

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjgWnZ-MT鈥?/a>
lol well you would have to pick out the right foundation for your skin color.

just put a thin layer of it all around your face and then after put powder.

then to even everything out put some blush on:]

    hope this helps!
get some on the back of you're hand warm it up and then take a damp make up sponge and dab it in the stuff behind you're hand and apply
A foundation brush (yes, the one that looks like a paint brush) does the job best because it distributes the color evenly over your skin. That's why I use it with my tinted moisturizer too.
Why don't you try the new mineral powders..they are really good..like Mary Kay. I think foundations do clog your pores up and cause white hard things on your face..the mineral powders leave a nice look.
    Foundation brush (:

All you do is squirt a little bit on your hand and then grab your handy dandy foundation brush and just kinda act like your 'painting' your face.

I do it every day (:
just use your finger or a makeup sponge

But anyway back on subject. I think it's okay that you miss it, don't be ashamed of it!
No, I think it probably normal if thats what you were used to. I did a gradual thing. I went from liquid foundation and powder everyday to just powder foundation and then just light powder, now I don't wear any makeup in a normal day-to-day setting. It really doesn't look that bad as long as I take care of my skin.
Why'd you stop? I imagine there was a pretty good reason. If you're wearing a powder or no foundation at all, you can switch back to liquid, just look for something with very light coverage. Tinted moisturizer might even work, but be sure to get one with SPF.
Yeah...it's kind of dumb to miss wearing a lot of makeup. It never looks good, period, and it's incredibly bad for your skin. Get your priorities straight.
    Yes, very wrong!!
So use it then bu not to much

What is the best brush to use with MAC Select SPF 15 Liquid Foundation?

Like a Sephora brush, something just as good, but not as expensive as a MAC brush. What is the best brush to use with MAC Select SPF 15 Liquid Foundation?
The MAC duo fibre brush is great but the Sephora Professional Platinum Stippling Brush #44 is the same brush. I have the MAC version and it is my favorite. So I'm sure you'll love the Sephora one. It gives great natural and even coverage, for wet or dry face products.

There's a direct link to the brush. It's a great brush and totally worth the money!

    Hope this helps.

    - EricaWhat is the best brush to use with MAC Select SPF 15 Liquid Foundation?
Sephora has a stippling brush similar to MAC's 187 (Sephora Professionel Stippling Brush #42) that costs $35 which is really nice, but honestly, a regular foundation brush would be fine. Good luck!
i prefer to use sponges when applying my foundation..it goes on smoother..and it's way cheaper than purchasing a applicator brush from mac...go to your local drug store (cvs or walgreens)..and purchase a bag of sponges...
ahh a brush with liquid foundation!!!! nooo you use those triangular little foamy things that you can get at the drug store for like 2 bucks

Is it possible to wear concealer with a liquid foundation?

Ok so, at the moment I'm just wearing some light foundation, which is just enough to cover my pimples. But on the odd occasion it just doesn't do enough. I hate wearing powder. Which is why I was wondering if I bought a concealer for pimples and then put a layer of LIQUID foundation on, would this work? Or is it a must to wear powder to lock it in?Is it possible to wear concealer with a liquid foundation?
First up, concealer isn't meant to hide pimples. It's meant to lighten dark or recesssed areas on your face, like under your eyes and around your nose. Concealer is generally a shade lighter than your foundation, so putting concealer on your spots would just be like highlighting it with a red felt-tip pen.

Liquid foundation is excellent for hiding zits, because it's so flexible. The trick is to paint it on with a brush or your ring finger and blend the edges in. Powder on top would be very good to set the makeup, but is not necessary if you have a good liquid foundation.

Good luck!Is it possible to wear concealer with a liquid foundation?
No, you can wear just the concealer and foundation, however you would probably get better and longer-lasting results by putting powder over the top.
Best not use any makeup whit Pimples !!.
