Is liquid foundation or mineral foundation better for covering blemishes?

I'm planning on getting a new foundation soon because my dream matte mousse one is running out, so which one is better for covering a few pimples or blemishes, liquid or the powdery mineral kind?

Oh, and my skin gets dry from my acne treatment too so it would be best if you could suggest a foundation that also doesn't make my skin flaky looking :) Thank you so much!Is liquid foundation or mineral foundation better for covering blemishes?
I think you should use liquid because powder will make

your face look dry. If your skin gets dry from acne treatment

then you probably shouldn't use powder. The powder is gonna make the pimple look all dry and not cover them up. Get liquid foundation. Same with me my skin gets dry and if I were to use powder my face would look dry and my acne would look even worse. I use maybelline's mineral power liquid foundation. It looks like this:

You should be able to find it at CVS

Hope I helped :]Is liquid foundation or mineral foundation better for covering blemishes?
people normally forget that the intention of the first ever foundation makers were to make somthing to even out the skin tone of the skin, nd so every foundation si made for this purpose. But if you cnt be bothered i would suggest Play sticks by Bnefit because they are concealer and foundation! Report Abuse

I have used both. I loved the look and feel of the mineral foundation.

Like you, some foundations can make my skin look flaky, but not the mineral foundation. The mineral foundation also covers blemishes much better.

The only one I have ever tried is Sheer Cover, and it covered the freckles I get in the summer completely and definitely any blemishes. It also looked great, ........

But.... It caused me to break out :(; I stopped using it, waited for my skin to clear up and tried again (I liked it THAT much), but same problem....break outs...

Not everyone has a problem with the breakouts; I seem to be in the minority. I would say for the benefits, it's worth trying to see how it works for you!
One that I found is Estee Lauder Maximum cover. Its really thick but you can blend the hell out of it, and its matte and never shiny.
