I get some of my liquid foundation on a new white shirt. I sprayed it with oxyclean and used a bleach pen and then washed it and it didn't come out. I repeated those steps two more times and it didn't work. I soaked the shirt in bleach over night and the make up is still there. What else should I do?How do you get liquid foundation out of a white shirt?
One should NEVER use bleach as a ';first'; treatment. To get stains out you have to ';undo'; them. In the case of foundation, a run through dry cleaning would have done it.
Bleach can only remove the last traces of pigments from a stain. It does not ';dissolve'; them nor break them down. Once you use it, you have most likely permanently set the stain so now even a skilled dry cleaner will not be able to remove it. Also the constant bleaching action will easily weaken the area thus making it more apt to rip or get damaged in any new attempt. How do you get liquid foundation out of a white shirt?
The stain isn't going to come out. If you used bleach and oxyclean and the stain didn't get removed that way, then its there indefinitely.
