So, every MAC liquid foundation is still the wrong color for me (NC15 is too yellow, and NW15 is too pink). I'm wondering if there are any other medium coverage foundations of a high quality that are better for fair skin.Higher quality liquid foundations?
a great sheer foundation is the silk creme by laura mercier. the texture is definitely more cream than liquid, but it's oil-free and leaves skin really dewy and beautiful. another great one is doublewear by estee lauder.. it's practically bulletproof, it seriously lasts all day. i've also heard great things about giorgio armani's luminous silk foundation, but haven't had the chance to try it.
as for color matching, it's super difficult for me as well, but i've accepted the fact that nothing is perfectly fit for my tone, so i find myself mixing two shades often. of course, buying two bottles doesn't sound very sensible, so maybe get the closest match you can find, and if you think it's a little too pink, ask for a sample jar of a more yellow shade to counteract it, add it in the bottle, and shake it up. or if it's too light/dark, add little amounts of a darker/lighter shade until you come up with a good match. i do this all the time.Higher quality liquid foundations?
Try Chanel. You can also try doing a search for ';custom blend foundation'; for ';custom blended cosmetics'; and try to locate someone or a salon in your area that makes a botanical based custom blend foundation - it typically does not cost more than department store foundation and you will get a perfect match taylored to your preferences for color, texture, spf, oil control, moisture, etc.
ah, i've got the same problem! i'm a mac fiend but when it comes to their foundations, i stay clear away.
laura mercier creates really beautiful foundations especially for pale girlies. girgio armani makes foundations that are pure white, not chalky, and have creamy blendable textures. i deffintley suggest checking either of these two brands out!
or you could try covergirl. i use the new tru blend formula in shade 1. i thought it would turn too pink on me but it doesn't, which is really ******* rare! it's just pure white.
i also suggest trying manic panic/drancinabox, they are both brands for white skin girlies, don't be turned of by the price, the manic panic compact powder and dreamtone foundation are really good for a cheap *** price.
i love being pale, casper the ghost over fake and bake anyday.
I had the same problem with matching my skin tone. I ended up trying Clarins foundation and I absolutely love it. Its a bit pricey (like $40) but its worth it. They are also well known for their products being good for the skin.
Go with Prescriptives - their ColorPrinting is fool-proof. I have never found a foundation that perfectly matched my skintone until I started using them, and I'd neverrrrr turn back
try clinique or precriptives or lancome.
:]
oh and try mixing the two foundations together
