Whats the best way to apply liquid foundation?

I just bought MAC's liquid foundation, whats the best way to apply it, i dont want it to go on too heavy or too much.

whats the best way?

like a sponge? or a liquid foundation brush? or my finger?

which way works to spread it nice %26amp; evenly?

thanks for your help :)Whats the best way to apply liquid foundation?
the best way is a foundation brush. sponges soak up too much of the foundation and you end up wasting the product. you can either purchase a brush from mac. either the 190 which is a flat foundation brush or the 188 or 187 which is what they refer to as a skunk brush which is perfect for liquid foundation. if you want to go a cheaper route theres an amazing foundation brush they sell at cvs. its a double sided brush. the brand is essence of beauty. hope that helped. also if you use a brush make sure you purchase brush cleaner and clean your face brushes once a week!Whats the best way to apply liquid foundation?
A sponge. (Using a foundation brush will grease up the bristles, and waste your product. Your fingers will not make it even.)

Begin by dipping just a bit of foundation onto the sponge, and dot it on your face. Use the other side of the sponge to blot and move the foundation around the face. Keep the light 'blotting' movements for an 'airbrushed' look.

If you're really wishing for a brush try a synthetic haired one. This won't suck in the product. But, it will take longer to apply.
Definitely go out and buy sponges. You can buy a bag of 30 sponges for 2 dollars at Wal-mart, Shoppers Drug Mart, etc.

Then apply the foundation to your forehead, each one of your cheeks, and a small dab on your chin.

Spread it evenly and blend the remaining foundation on your sponge in your neck. Nothing is worse then having a dark face and a pale neck!

good luck!
I would recommend going back to MAC and buying a foundation brush. A brush is the best way to apply liquid foundation because it goes on even and smooth. If you use a sponge, the sponge wil absorb all the foundation and will go on streaky. Using your finger will just be messy.

For best results use a brush.

Good Luck!
I personally find I get better coverage using the MAC 190 Foundation Brush.

Sponges absorb too much of your product where as this brush disperses your foundation evenly without much hassle.

Good Luck
You definitely don't want to use your finger because your finger is oily and it can help in giving you blemishes aka pimples etc. you want to use a sponge
get a ';skunk brush'; you don't necessarily have to get a MAC one. but it will leave your makeup with an airbrushed effect and light coverage.
id use a concealer brush or a sponge
sponge.. :) Dab it on your forehead, chin, nose and cheeks.. then rub in with the sponge.
